my sister

is my idol

she is so perfect

the smile

the laugh

that crazy, crazy laugh she's got

she's a likeness of an intellectual angel

brainiac to the max

lovable and learned

joyfully impermeable

the darkness hides from her light

bright as hell

she'll talk circles around you

she's got so much to teach

dedicated to a cause

lifeguard in a day to day way

she's saved millions

superhero

not only humans either

she's saved countless cows, pigs and chickens

she's my hero

how can someone be so great?

it all makes sense

"Katherine the Great"

overthrowing the kingdom

coup d'éta

now she proves she deserves

a new title

"Katherine the Brave"

in times of uncertainty

she's strong

she's hard

she's courageous

I could hardly maintain

grace

in her position

how does she do it?

she must be an angel

to be so kind

I have treasure to share.

It comes from my heart,

it's kindness,

it's joy,

it's love.

I give it freely,

it's how I was raised.

I enjoy sharing a smile,

but it hurts when I don't see one

in reflection.

What is it that hurts you so?

I'm here for you,

to help you through,

everyday deserves crinkles in the eyes.

A twinkle in your eye tells me

you're capable

but someone,

something,

has stolen the magic today.

I'll go to enemy territory

to return the feet of the crows

to you.

You're not unloved,

you are loved,

don't you see me here?

I'm here for you,

I live to serve.

It's in my blood,

service,

I just can't stand to lose,

to blue,

to red.

Look to the sun,

see how it shines for us?

It's for us,

just for us.

She may directly bring you happiness,

so I'll poke some holes in your cloud cover.

Embrace her rays,

live in the light,

it's magic.

I won't leave till I see you

take back your smile.

If I could

give you the eyes

right now,

you'd be a pool

at my feet

Ice on fire

I'm not just an ordinary girl

I live in a far away place,

far from society

far from the phonies,

near Holden Caulfield

I like the cool

but hate the cold,

disheartened,

city types

Like they don't come from

earth

They belong to their

cold slabs,

those slabs are like

tombstones

I move to remember

that I'm part of it all

that she's

the biggest part of me

I'm like a chameleon,

I absorb my environment

I'm so sensitive

to your touch,

to you words

I don't claim beings,

to each their own

In fact, sometimes,

I hope they don't choose me,

I'd hate to disappoint

anyone

I hold myself personally responsible

for the happiness of those around me

I can't stand when

they're unhappy,

Empath

I can't hold power long,

I'm an old iPhone after a software update,

information overload

With mental practice

I'll be there

Life if complicated,

this is harder

Really it's just the language,

the translation

that's hard

I've decided to learn

all there is,

to know,

all there is,

under one umbrella

I'll be after it a while

maybe we'll share shelter

still you can be you,

do you

I hope you always do

Though I'm certain

I'll come in from the rain,

eventually.
