Origins

Before my second

birthday

My father

came upon Eagle,

Eagle had a broken wing

She was so damaged

She could not live long

this way

My father tenderly

wrapped Eagle up in a blanket

and was off to the veterinarian

The veterinarians did all

they could

but Eagle did not

make it

Eagle had

passed

only minutes

when the power to the building

suddenly

went

out

Outside

Owl

had blown

a transformer

when he came to sit

near

and respect Eagle

This is my first memory.
